More than ten devices at one address? Send the count and we will price it back the same day.
The additional-device rate applies within a single address rather than across a portfolio, because a route across several buildings is a different day's work.
The paperwork
We test the device, complete the report and file it with your municipality's program. The filing fee is included.
The property address and how many devices. That is the whole ask.
A certified backflow tester carries out the testing on site.
Filled out properly the first time, and you get a copy for your own records.
Filed to your municipality's cross-connection control program. The item closes.
The filing fee is ours. It is already inside the price you were quoted, and there is no second invoice for it.
Qualification
Backflow testing is not general plumbing work. It is carried out under a municipal cross-connection control program by someone certified to do it, and the report is only accepted if the contractor filing it is licensed for the work.
A completed test tag on a device we service.
If a device fails
What happens next depends on the device and why it failed. It may need a repair, a rebuild or a replacement. We tell you which and what it costs before we do it.
Failed test
What caused it?
Replacement is supplied and installed. The range depends on the size of the device.
Testing requirements
Requirements depend on the property, the device and the municipality. Testing is commonly required on a recurring schedule, often annually.
Your municipality's cross-connection control program determines what applies to your property.
Not sure where to check? Send us the property address and we can point you at it.
Send the count
You will see the per-device cost before anything is booked.
To price the testing we need
That's enough to start. You do not need to go and gather anything you do not already have.
