Qualification
Backflow testing is not general plumbing work. It is carried out under your city’s cross-connection control program (the program that makes sure building water can’t flow back into the public supply), by someone certified to do it, and the report is only accepted if the contractor filing it is licensed for the work.

What happens next depends on the device and why it failed. It may need a repair, a rebuild or a replacement. We tell you which and what it costs before we do it.

Replacement is supplied and installed. The range depends on the size of the device.
On failed devices 1 inch or smaller, replacement often makes more sense than repair. Repair parts can run $500+ without guaranteeing the device will pass. If another part turns out to be needed, the repair can quickly get close to the cost of a new device. We show you the options and the numbers before any additional work.
