New Dundee, Wilmot Township, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Milton, Halton Hills, Acton, Rockwood and Georgetown
A new unit in place of the one that failed, with the price agreed before we start.
A new mixing valve on every install, to keep hot water at a safe temperature at the tap.
No monthly rental charge on a unit you will pay for many times over.
Endless hot water and space back, where the house suits it.
Repair or replace?
On a water heater that has failed, the parts and labour to repair it usually cost more than the machine has left in it. So we supply and install new units rather than repairing old ones. If a repair really is the right answer for your unit, we will tell you so.
Scale builds up inside anything that heats water. Across most of Waterloo Region, a water softener protects the new unit.
What it costs
All prices plus HST. Every price includes the unit, the installation and a new mixing valve.

Going tankless
Coming off a tank also means new venting, core holes, gas work and plumbing changes. That is the difference between the two tankless price lists.
Tank or tankless?
A tank is the lower upfront cost. Tankless gives endless hot water and floor space back.
A tank stores hot water and reheats it all day. A tankless unit heats water only when a tap is open, so it does not run out partway through a second shower. It costs more to install, and it only makes sense where the house has the ability to add the venting, gas and wall space for it.
If your house does not have the right conditions, the price changes or tankless is not the right call. We will tell you which before you commit to anything.

Questions we get asked
A 40 gallon electric tank, like for like, is $1,700 plus HST. A 50 gallon power-vented gas tank is $2,900 plus HST. Tankless starts at $3,300 when it replaces an existing tankless, and $4,600 when it replaces a tank. Every price includes the unit, installation and a new mixing valve.
On a unit that has failed, replacing usually costs less than the repair plus the next repair. If a repair really is the right answer for your unit, we will say so.
Yes. We install a unit you own. Before we do, check your rental agreement for any buyout or removal terms, and arrange the return of the rented tank with your rental provider.
Often, yes. You need an exterior wall for venting, gas or propane near the equipment, and space to mount the unit. We check those first and tell you whether it is the right call for your house.
Yes, if there is natural gas at the house. Electric to power-vented gas is $4,600 plus HST, including routing the gas line and drilling the vent. A 120V outlet is needed and is done by others.
Most replacements take 2 to 5 hours on site. A like-for-like tank swap is at the shorter end; a tankless conversion, with new venting and gas work, takes longer.
An expansion tank on the cold water line gives heated water somewhere to expand, which takes strain off the tank and the plumbing. A 4.4 gallon tank suits any water heater up to 60 gallons and is $600 plus HST installed.
